WHO YOU CALLING HOMEMAKERS?

Define Homemaker:

Homemakers- ones who manage a household especially as a wife and mother

While I suppose at a glance you could categorize me under the homemaker’s title, I much prefer one of the other titles such as stay at home mom, family manager, home economist, and my personal favorite home engineer.

When I think of the title homemaker I think of some mother from the 50’s who cooks, cleans and raises her children just like me, but not me. Although figuratively speaking I do all the same things the 50’s mom did but not really the same. Or am I just fooling myself?

Do you consider yourself a homemaker? Do you clean, cook, do the finances, keep the home running smoothly on a daily basis? Homemakers do all this and more.

As the home engineer of this household, I do all the jobs that it takes to run this house. I am not going to list them because I know you already know what they are. The difference between me and a 50’s mom is that I use all the resources I can get.

Yeah sure, maybe she had that elusive village everyone keeps talking about but I have the internet. And if I can’t find my village, I’m claiming the internet.

In this day in age, we have everything we could possibly need at our fingertips. While the internet has it’s upsides (This Mom Life Facebook Group where I hang out with all my mom friends, Hi guys!) it also has its downsides (WebMD and my hypochondriac issues).

One of my favorite things about the vast internet is the unlimited resources. There are so many good courses, eBooks, and printables that homemakers never have to worry about not knowing something.

The problem with this is sometimes there are too many resources. Who has time to sift through all the fluff? I sure as heck don’t while I’m cooking spaghetti for the 3rd night in a row with a toddler clinging to my ankles.

That’s why I am sharing with you 3 of the resources I use to make my mom life easier.

This Mom Life

This is a facebook group full of supportive and helpful mamas that are looking for answers just like you and I. We support each other and lift each other up in times of need. Join us today here.

Alli Casazza

This is a decluttering mom mogul! She is such a mom rockstar! If I hadn’t had her to look up to in my minimalist journey I don’t know what I would have done. Check her absolutely life changing classes out here.

Youtube Tutorials

If you don’t know how to do something you can almost guarantee that there is a tutorial on Youtube to help you out. Can’t tell you how many times I watched the baby wrap tutorials when my bub was a newborn.

These are just a few of the amazing resources that I found helpful. Read more about useful resources on the internet by clicking the link.

Now go take advantage of being a 2017 homemaker and use the resources we are so lucky to have!

What resources do you use in 2017 that they didn’t have in the 50’s? Leave a comment and let me know. 🙂
