If there is one thing that totally energizes me about Montessori, it’s growing a lifelong love of learning in my children. That is the very short answer to how I know Montessori is right for my family.

Being able to do that on another level by helping thousands of other parents create a lifelong love of learning in their children is beyond amazing. I feel lucky and inspired every day by parents that are just getting started with Montessori.

In the first three years of life, the foundations of physical and also of psychic health are laid. In these years, the child not only increases in size but passes through great transformations. Independence

Montessori fosters independence from a very young age. This is done through a number of ways such as giving your child freedom within limits, practical life activities and following your child’s lead.

Confidence

Often confidence comes with independence. Watching your child shine after successfully completing a task that even you were unsure about has got to be one of the best feelings as a parent!

Respect

Showing the child respect will teach your child how to show others respect. Model the behavior you want your child to have.

Natural Development

Following the child and their natural development of skills by focusing on exploration, curiosity, play, and communication is another reason to love the Montessori philosophy.

Cooperation

Collaboration with companions or cooperation is another great way that Montessori facilitates a child’s development.  It helps them acquire the basic values of coexistence which should never be overlooked.

Lifelong Love of Learning

And as I mentioned in the beginning, growing a lifelong love of learning. Helping parents grow a lifelong love of learning in their children that will impact their future and our future in such a positive way. Being a part of something bigger than myself and my family is one of the most rewarding experiences about Montessori.
