It’s that time of year again! I am so excited to start spreading the Christmas cheer this year! I want to focus more on a Montessori Christmas today. A Montessori Christmas is full of friends, family, fun, and lots of cheer. Having your toddler join the excitement is one of the best parts!
Whether you plan on celebrating Christmas with a big family gathering or just a small affair at your home you can still incorporate Montessori into your holiday. Everyday tasks can become magical with a little bit of Christmas creativity. There are plenty of Montessori Christmas activities to engage in throughout the season. Here are a few we will be partaking in this year:
Baking Cookies
Gift Wrapping
Bow Tying
Christmas Card Crafts
Community Service
Another Christmas element, gift giving. I personally love buying gifts for people, I love making other people happy, as most moms do. Being Montessori doesn’t mean that I can’t buy my toddler the perfect Christmas gift it just means that perfect gift isn’t going to be some flashy loud noisy plastic toy.
There are so many beautiful Montessori materials out there, Christmas is a perfect time to stock up on all of them. I have a few suggestions for you to help you keep your Montessori Christmas with a toddler under wraps.
Permanence Box
Little Jug, Cups & Trays
Learning Tower
Table & Chairs
Balance Beam
Wooden Kitchen
Gonge Riverstones
Trampoline
A Montessori Christmas is sure to be filled with lots of cheer no matter how you spend it. I am so grateful to have found Montessori and get to share it with my family throughout this holiday season!
What Christmas traditions will you be partaking in this year? I’d love to hear all about them! Leave me a note in the comments.
