One thing I have always struggled with is knowing where to go next with Montessori. I know what my daughter likes now because we have tried and tested so many different things but when she has a growth spurt and is ready for the next thing I have to start all over again.

I thought if I am having this issue other moms must be too! What better way to find out what works than to ask other moms. So I have created a list of tried and tested materials suggested by over 100 moms! These are their top 15 favorites and chances are they will be your child’s favorites too.

Playsilks are truly a bottomless toy chest. There are so many things that children will create with them. Their size and texture make it easy for small hands to fold and tie. Their colors can inspire play using them as grass, sky, or water.

 

Puzzles

Puzzles promote 3 skills. Physical skills are formed from holding puzzle pieces and turning them until they fit. Cognitive skills are formed as they solve the problems of a puzzle.
